C2C 02 Arena Reviews 2016
Michelle Williams Sounded amazing, def one of my favorite pop up artists thank you.
Ed Gallagher Awsome show
Wendy Swoish thoroughly enjoyed the all too short set what we call country, right up our street
David N Gabbi You had the place rocking. Great to see you up there
Sarah Jones, Awesome Country by an equally awesome band.
The Silver Churn CMC, Dartington Devon. A great party atmosphere was on offer at the Silver Churn with a full house of over 100 and a brilliant band for our last gig of the year. Ray Peters And The Smokey Turtle Band took the club by storm with volume and presentation spot on. A great choice of music from George Strait, George Jones, Buck Owens, Hank Locklin, Hank Williams and Radney Foster. Ray is a great vocalist and frontman and Dave Hayward is brilliant on pedal steel. We saw some really great picking from Dean Barnes on lead guitar with Pete Hedley excelling on drums and Hannah Cope is a brilliant bass player. They are a band who really enjoy what they do and sent everyone home happy. They must return. Thanks to everone for their support during the last year. (Phil Jenkins)
Renishaw Night Riders, Nr Chesterfield The Ray Peters Band lined up as Ray on vocals and rhythm guitar, Dean Barnes on lead guitar and Dave Hayward on pedal steel. Dean and Dave missed the first set, having got stuck on the motorway, so Ray did a fine first set on his own. The others made up for there lateness by performing two sets of great country with songs like He’ll have to go, The Lone Ranger, faded love, Till a tear becomes a rose and a truly fabulous version of Vince Gill’s Love never broke anyone’s heart. They had the dance floor busy all night and after a 15 minute encore many people went and thanked them for a great night. I really think Ray is onto a winner with this line up because it was an outstanding performance. (Tom McGuire & Jean Corby)
